This week has been so fun and filled with an abundance of amazing events. Here is a little photo dump of all that went on. I could not be more grateful to be in this space with such incredible and inspiring women. I am proud to be representing my tribal nations as I advocate for cultural awareness. ❤️

Today’s the day! I’m now on my way to Pratt, KS. First up on the agenda is my interview for the Quality of Life Scholarship. I’m truly honored to have been chosen for the top 3 finalists. I can’t wait to share more about my platform and all that inspires me. 🤗💛💛

The Miss Kansas pageant is approaching so quickly and I could not be more excited. My mission is to spread cultural awareness through actively presenting on the history of my tribe, the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation, while also highlighting the fun aspects of current day practices such as our contemporary appliqué/scrub dance style. I also strongly believe in the power of education. When educating yourself, you are giving yourself more opportunity. I strongly encourage everyone to receive a higher education and follow your dreams. ✨💛💛

I hope everyone is having an amazing week and smooth finals. 📚 We are just about three weeks away from the Miss Kansas pageant! As a Native American, my goal is to spread cultural awareness by presenting on the history, culture, norms, and current life of Indigenous people. Additionally, I believe education is immensely important. Education is a powerful tool that gives minority groups a seat at the table. As I always say, we all have a voice and our voices deserve to be heard. 😊💖💖
Thank you to the PBPN Media Department for capturing these photos! 📸

This past week has been so busy. On Friday I had the opportunity of interviewing with the Prairie Band Potawatomi News. As I’m graduating this weekend, I shared some of my aspirations and what’s next! 📚 While at PBPN I was also able to visit with some of our elders at the Elders Center. We had some great conversations and I look forward to visiting again.
Also, a huge thank you to PBP Casino for being a sponsor in my first ever pageant within the MAO, “Miss Topeka”. What a special night and some amazing sponsors. 🫶🏽

During last week’s orientation in Pratt, KS I had the amazing opportunity to visit Wheat State Mercantile. They kindly allowed me to place my parade shoe in their facility as apart of the Miss Kansas tradition. I thank them for the support! Please go check them out! They offer a wide variety of snacks and even beef & pork! 🥩 🤗

I’m super excited for this journey ahead! I am a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and my platform is spreading cultural awareness as it creates more critical and informed discussion. I also love sharing my cultural dance styles.🌻💛
