Bush Racing Stable

After a hard-fought journey, Dad has crossed the finish line.

Dad lived life the same way he approached racing, with passion, determination, and a heart that never quit. His final race was a true testament to who he was. When he was first told he had only a sprint, about six months to live, he turned it into a marathon of more than two years. He ran his race the same way he expected every one of our horses to run, with grit, determination, and an unwavering will to win.

Today, we celebrate that Dad didn't lose the race. He won it. He fought until the very end, far outlasting every expectation, and now he can finally rest.

Racing gave our family countless memories. We grew from a one-horse stable to leading owner title, Horse of the Year honors, graded stakes victories, and the unforgettable experience of running on Kentucky Derby Day. But if you knew Dad, you know those milestones weren't what mattered most to him. He loved the horses, but he loved the people behind them even more. He treasured our partners who believed in the dream, trainers, jockeys, grooms, hotwalkers, blacksmiths, veterinarians, and every fan who cheered us on or simply asked, "How are the horses doing?" Dad believed racing was always about the people first, and the horses simply brought us all together.

To everyone who reached out, prayed for Dad, and supported our family throughout this journey, thank you. Your kindness, encouragement, and love carried us farther than you'll ever know.

The race may be over, but Dad's legacy will continue to run on. He'll always have a place in the winner's circle, in our hearts, and in every horse that carries the Bush Racing Stable silks.
