One minute I’m laughing and
smiling over a memory of you

and the next minute I’m crying
over the same memory of you

or mourn the loss of future
ones we won’t have

Grief is messy
and unpredictable,
much like life itself

It’s like being caught
in a storm where the
sky shifts between
sunlight and rain ~
without warning

It took time to
find a balance,
where I laugh
more than I cry ,
And the memories bring
more comfort than pain

Embracing each
emotion as it comes,
knowing that both are
expressions of the
love I hold for you
