In a heartfelt speech this morning, Maya reminded us to have courage to live, that humanity is a daily occurrence, and art connects us all. Her beauty, poise and incandescence on stage today was truly inspirational. Congratulations to our Vidal M. Trevino School of Communcations and Fine Arts Class of 2026!!!!!

City wide moments of pride and resilience resonate with families across our community this month, with an event-filled May. It began with college graduation ceremonies and now culminate this week with High School
Ceremonies across both school districts. I add my congrats & well wishes to all of Laredo’s grads and their families. It’s life moments like those captured this week that stay with us for a lifetime.
