This is deeply concerning. We cannot abolish the electoral system as this would make our entire state subject to the whims of New York City, Los Angeles, and any other dense urban area. District 73 is predominantly rural and already suffers from a lack of funding due to geography. If you need the proof as to what would happen to the country, look no further than here.

What just happened in Virginia should be a wake-up call for Michigan.

Virginia just joined the National Popular Vote Compact — a system where, if enough states sign on, electoral votes go to whoever wins the national popular vote, not necessarily who wins your state.

Translation:
Michigan votes RED by a landslide…
California + New York push the national vote BLUE.
👉🏻 Michigan’s electoral votes still go BLUE.

That’s not hypothetical.
This compact is already growing, now covering 222 electoral votes — getting closer to the 270 needed to take effect.

And here’s the part people in Michigan need to understand:
Legislation like this has already been introduced in states like ours.

So ask yourself honestly:
If this was one of the first major election changes pushed in Virginia…
what do you think happens next in states like Michigan if the same people gain more power?

This is why 2026 matters.

If you care about how elections are run — not just who wins them — then:

👉🏻 The Senate must be won
👉🏻 And we must win the Governor’s race

Because the governor signs these laws.

Once systems like this are put in place, they are extremely difficult to reverse.

Agree or disagree on the policy — but understand exactly what’s at stake.

Yesterday I finished up a great weekend of knocking doors and even cleared a walk list! I’ve been really enjoying getting to know the constituents of the district. What most have expressed as their chief concerns is the current failures of education in our schools.

I had a wonderful conversation with a man named Kevin who was saddened to learn his grandchild didn’t know much about Artemis II and that it wasn’t really talked about in school. He said when he was a kid, everyone was watching TV or listening to updates on the astronauts headed for the moon.

What a strange change.

One thing I learned about was the crew mascot, Rise. He’s a little squish ball and zero gravity indicator. He was designed by Lucas Ye, a 3rd grader in California, as part of a competition to design the best mascot per the specs provided by NASA. Lucas has indicated he now wants to work for NASA in the future.

What’s most important to remember about the previous space race, is that it not only pushed the boundaries of humanity in the universe, without it we wouldn’t have a pile of products we use every day and likely take for granted. Memory foam and Velcro are directly a result of space exploration, as two examples.

I’m thrilled the crew all returned safely and that the future of the Artemis missions is secured! Time for a moon base.

Fantastic day starting on door walking. Had great conversations with voters! The longest was with someone who said she wouldn’t vote Republican, but would vote for me after our discussion. Just more proof to me that all we need is greater dialogue.

I’m sitting in the famous chair in our house, it is THE chair for holding this baby boy. He needed a nap and so do I. But it’s a great reminder why I’m out there on a beautiful Saturday knocking on doors. I really want us to give the next generation a better world than we found it. We have a lot to do, and I’ve never been more ready to get to work doing it.
