The Village of Lansing Fire Department is accepting applications for Firefighter/Paramedic but time is running out!

APPLICATION DEADLINE: JUNE 3 (must be submitted in person or postmarked)

Lansing Fire is actively hiring with immediate openings and additional hires expected due to growth and retirements.

From residential neighborhoods and multifamily buildings to busy expressways, industrial/manufacturing occupancies, commercial structures, and airport-related responses, Lansing Fire provides members the opportunity to gain diverse real-world experience across a broad spectrum of emergency responses including a variety of fires, technical rescues, and advanced EMS calls all supported by strong auto aid and mutual aid partnerships.

REQUIREMENTS:
• EMT required to apply/test (must be in paramedic school)
• Paramedic required by time of hire
• Valid Driver’s License
• HS Diploma / GED
• CPAT required by test date

Lan-Sing: Music for the Soul returns for third year May 31 at Fox Pointe - The Lansing Journal The Lansing Human Relations Commission’s “Lan-Sing: Music for the Soul” is set for 1–5 p.m. Sunday, May 31 at Fox Pointe.

Join us tomorrow night as we unofficially kick off the 2026 concert series at Fox Pointe!

Come out for a special community soft opening featuring live music from Party Foul from 7-9 p.m. Gates open at 6 p.m.

We're excited to welcome the community back to Fox Pointe for another summer of live entertainment, special events and unforgettable nights in Lansing. Bring your lawn chairs, grab some concessions, and enjoy a night at Fox Pointe with us.

The official 2026 concert series begins Wednesday, June 3, with Sixteen Candles and opening act Chicole!
