π·οΈWhat Are Habits?π·οΈ
πΈοΈA habit is a bunch of actions which you do automatically. Every day you perform more actions than you could ever count- if you had to make choices and actively think about everything that you do, you would never get anything done.
When you learn something new, the plasticity of the individual neurons in your brain allows you to physically change how your brain works. Over time, and with repeated performance of these behaviours, the neural connections become reinforced. As habits are formed, a series of actions are grouped together so you end up viewing an entire process as one 'routine'; one which is initiated by a decision or a cue.
Once you have a neural connection associated with a particular cue, it never goes away; ever wonder why you always revert back to old habits at your most vulnerable? It takes a lot to change a habit.

hit a goal that we've been working on since we started. That was to hit a 150lb Bench Press on her own without a spot. I'd say this was pretty smooth and probably could have been 155-160lbs with a little more struggle. Nice work Kimee, I knew you'd get there. Let's get a new goal now and work for that one. ππ
