Wisconsin Supper Club Chasers

It was the first time we've been to The Twilight Supper Club & Big Z's Lounge in Land O' Lakes since they started doing music on the patio. It was too bad that it was sprinkling a little because The Other Chaser always wants to seek shelter with a single raindrop. She says that she melts in the rain because she is so sweet. 🙄 I was wiped out from doing a lot of driving anyway, but I wanted to show you the set up considering so many people have reached out to let me know about the music. We'll get back on a nicer day and spend more time listening to the music another time. 🎶

I love ❤️ the soup and salad bar at Twilight Supper Club. Although you might think we plan ahead, it was only a couple of hours before our visit that I said to The Other Chaser to reach out to our friends in the area because I wanted to check out the music on the patio. Our friends are like us and don't mind going on dining adventures at the last minute. I can't find a menu so I don't remember the name of the dish, but I was able to finally try my buddy Dusty's favorite entree that has shrimp and scallops and mussels and clams over pasta, and definitely a nice flavor combination. Maybe you can help me with what it's called. And speaking of clams, for those of you who have The Wisconsin Supper Club Dining Destinations II guide, The Twilight Supper Club is another of the many Supper Clubs that you can save some clams at. 😁

We don’t do it at many Supper Clubs, but I look forward to eating at the bar at The Bear Trap Inn in Land O’ Lakes because I’ve met some fun and interesting people in my many adventures here, and this time was no exception. It was especially exciting that next to me was a young couple both still in college and a young gentleman by himself who brought a book and was reading it, but he sat next to the wrong guy 😏 if he planned to read. I love to talk with young people and I love ❤️ to hear what they’re up to. Young people are the future of this country continuing to thrive, and young people are the future of Supper Clubs continuing to thrive, so I love to encourage them to follow their dreams and to go to Supper Clubs while they are following their dreams. 🥰 The young gentleman with the book and I talked about a lot of books that I’ve read, and I’m pretty certain he read too, that became movies as I used to read a lot of books when I was younger as well. The young couple that were still in college were a very lovely young lady who is a Marketing major that is on the Golf Team, and they both said is good enough to become a professional golfer 😳, and the very sharp young gentleman is studying and very interested in being involved in real estate. 👍

The food is exceptional at The Bear Trap Inn. 😋 We started with the delicious bacon wrapped steak. The onion and the horseradish sauces that come with it are stellar. The bacon wrapped scallops are spectacular too. The Other Chaser was full after the two appetizers, but I talked her into getting a bowl of the soup which she helped me mostly devour as it had steak in it and it had a curry base which she really enjoys. I wanted leftovers for my brunch the next day, so I opted for a perfectly cooked filet and wanted a couple of extra sides as the mashed sweet potatoes and the Brussels sprouts sounded yummy alongside my baked potato. 😁

I realized that I needed to start another bracket of Which Supper Club Is Your Favorite in the northern part of the state or I might not see the overall favorite Supper Club winner you choose in my lifetime. 🫣 I am starting this bracket asking you to tell me your favorite between two fabulous Supper Clubs, Roepke’s Village Inn in Charlesburg or Schwarz’s Supper Club in St. Anna. I ❤️ both of these Supper Clubs and would have a difficult time choosing my favorite.
