I want to take a moment to sincerely thank everyone who worked so hard on my campaign, those who blocked walked, knocked on doors, made phone calls, and supported me in so many ways. It has truly been a blessing to have so many people believe in me and in the message I hoped would resonate with voters to help move our city forward.

It was incredibly humbling to experience such a strong base of support during this election.

I’m so proud about running a clean campaign and not resorting to dirty politics.
Tomorrow morning, I can wake up and know that I did it the right way.

I have given so much to the City of Kyle for the past 36 years, and I am proud to have had the opportunity to serve as a Council Member for three terms. During that time, we brought in over $300 million in road projects, built three amazing parks while securing funding that did not burden taxpayers, helped lead the creation of the Public Safety Center, and reduced the crime rate in the City of Kyle.

My time on Council was always about voluntary service to my community. My reason for running for mayor was simple, too often people move into our community, run for office, and then leave. I wanted to give the City of Kyle the opportunity to elect someone who wasn’t going anywhere.

The voters chose a different path, and I respect that decision. I sincerely appreciate everyone who came out to vote, regardless of the outcome. Thank you for participating in our democracy.

I am incredibly blessed to have such a wonderful family and amazing friends by my side. I have a loving wife who supports me and incredible kids that I am so proud of.

After 36 years of service, I am looking forward to taking some time off and spending more time with the wonderful family I have. I truly enjoyed knocking on doors, meeting residents, and talking with people throughout this campaign, and I feel incredibly blessed to have been given the opportunity to serve this city for three terms.

From the bottom of my heart, and on behalf of my family, thank you to the residents of Kyle for allowing this small-town boy from Kyle, Texas, to serve his community.

Please keep all elected officials in your prayers, that they will do what’s best for the people they serve.

This evening, Paula and I went downtown to enjoy the lights.
We met some wonderful ladies who struck up a conversation and asked if I was Robert Rizo.
They shared how excited they were that I’m running for Mayor and even asked if they could pray over me.

No matter what happens tomorrow, moments like this are what makes living in Kyle such a wonderful place.

As early voting wrapped up yesterday, I had time to reflect.

God’s plan is truly greater than mine. Growing up in Kyle as the son of two blue collar parents, I could have never imagined the path that would be placed before me.

Thirty years of volunteering in my community led me to the honor of serving three terms as a council member. It has been a privilege to give back to the city and the people who shaped me.

If elected mayor, I will continue working alongside my fellow council members and remain committed to shaping Kyle’s future with integrity, passion, and gratitude.

When speaking to someone running for office, your first question should be: “I understand what you plan to do if elected, but what have you already done as a private citizen to better your community?”
I’m proud that I can answer that question with decades of service..
“I’m working to make Kyle a better place every day, one small good deed at a time.

As the first week of early voting wraps up, I want to take a moment to thank everyone who has given their time, talents, and support to this campaign.

It is truly a blessing to have such strong support from the community, and I am grateful to all my friends and volunteers who have made phone calls, knocked on doors, and shared their talents in so many ways.

This has been a complete team effort, and I am humbled by the outpouring of encouragement.

We have one more week to go, and we will continue to work hard until the very end.
