So, two years after my Instagram page got hacked I started a new one. It's miserycreek1. Come check it out if you're so inclined. It's mostly about my writing but there's other stuff there too. If you choose not to I won't be offended. I'm kinda down on social media these days.

Just got word this morning that When We Were Dreamers has been picked up by Hellbound Books. I'm super stoked. The end of an almost two year dry spell. I'll let you know when I know the details about the anthology.

With the situation at work being what it is (nothing to do) I was able to bang out The Bones of Nuevo Laredo in 5 days (I started it Friday, took the weekend off, and finished it today. If anyone wants to pre-read message me with your email. It's completely raw and unedited at this point. I'll be sending it to the wonderful Tavia Neal for editing probably tonight or tomorrow. Much like When We Were Dreamers, I'm trying something new with this one (although WWWD is nothing like this one). Super excited about this one and can't wait to get it off to some publishers!

Well, I got the rejection letter for Target. The publishers are usually polite in their rejection emails, but the folks at The First Line really hated it and were not shy about saying so. I'll be submitting elsewhere when I find the right publisher to subit it to. My haunted house story is off to the publisher, who requested a story from me (same as with Tsrget - different publisher). I stuck to the theme that this publisher wanted, but put my own twist on it. Hopefully I won't burn another bridge with Boomslang, but we'll see. I'll keep you fine folks posted. Thsnks!

Well, Boomslang, my haunted house story is off the the publisher. It's a little on the short side, 5500 words, but I broke 3000, which I haven't reached in the last three stories. They're only publishing 15 stories, so the competion will be rough. I'm really proud of it - I think it's the best thing I've written in some time. If it gets turned down I'll send it to some other publishers. I'm now sitting on 4 stories. Hopefully at least one will pick it up.
