Every February the USA honors the sacrifices and accomplishments of African Americans who have molded this nation. Black history month not only celebrates culture, but also accomplishments and difficulties that are apart of the country’s history. February is the chosen month for Black History month because of Abraham Lincoln and Frederick Douglass’s Birthday’s which fall in February.
