If someone had no idea where to start with marketing, this is what I would tell them to take the first step...
Get clear on the problem that you're solving. That's all marketing is - a solution to a problem that your audience may not even realize they have
Please don't keep it surface level on what the problem is like "to live a better life" because honestly people don't realize their life isn't good until you paint the picture to show them where they're at, and where they could be (transformation).
Really think about: how do they feel? what does their day-to-day look like? what are the internal struggles they face?
If you answer those questions and speak to those pain points, then your client's will feel SPOOKED because they'll be like "how did she get in my head!?"
That's what the goal is - to make the audience know that you understand them. How you can be the guide to help them overcome a problem.
Once you simplify what that problem is, you can craft the rest of your brand around it. You have more freedom to express the multiple sides of yourself as long as you are crystal clear on the one thing that people KNOW that they can come to you for.
Think about it... when you see my page, what does it tell you that I do? Does your page have the same message? Not just in your bio, but also in the content itself?
