During Correctional Officers Week, we recognize the men and women who serve behind the walls often without recognition, but never without purpose. The job of a correctional officer is one of the toughest in public safety. It demands constant vigilance, professionalism, and the ability to make critical decisions in difficult and sometimes dangerous situations.
The correctional staff of Kankakee County Sheriff’s Office rise to that challenge every single day. They maintain order, ensure safety, and treat those in their custody with dignity, fairness, and respect. Their work is not easy, but it is essential to the strength of our justice system and the safety of our communities.
Kankakee County is fortunate to have such a dedicated and committed group of professionals. These men and women are true heroes, and their service does not go unnoticed. Thank you for your hard work, your resilience, and your unwavering dedication.
