Burglars often enter through a front door, whilst front doors may seem like a bad spot to enter - they are actually extremely convenient and are often left unlocked..

To prevent break ins through a front door do the following.

- Do not leave keys, in pots, under door mats, or in vulnerable lockboxes next to the door (these are easily smashed open with a sledgehammer).

- Install, or have installed a reinforced strike-plate for your deadbolts and latches these should have screws at least 3'' inches in length. (We provide this service)

- Do not leave front doors unlocked even for short walks around the neighborhood, or to allow a contractor or guest access whilst you are gone.

- If a guest or key goes missing, immediately replace keys. And the cylinder within the lock to be compatible with the new key(s) - often it's easier and more cost effective to buy a new lock (we offer locks, and smart locks!)
