We want to give a huge Crimson Bear shout out to our former Activities Assistant, Cricket Curtain, who just received the ASAA Gold Lifetime Pass. Cricket worked in activities here at JD for 30 plus years and helped out with multiple things in the activity world. To say this award and recognition is well deserved is an understatement. Congratulations Cricket!!! đŸ»

This weekend we have a set of JD/TM varsity home games. Friday is @ TMHS, Saturday is @ JDHS. Girls V will play at 5:15pm, boys V will play at 7:00pm. The TMHS Boys Senior Night will also occur tonight after the girls V game. The JDHS senior night for all programs will be on Saturday after the girls V game.

It's a pretty special occasion given the consolidation that is occurring next year. To show support for a unified student body and a unified district, the head coaches at TM and JD along with the administrative staff at both schools have agreed to waive any gate charges for the games and offer free admission to all.

I want to encourage all of you to come out to the games and support Juneau students. Even though our emotions are still raw, it would be monumental for our students to see positive support from their community.

Please refrain from any negative cheers or signs during these games. We want to do our best to support the Juneau community and the students as a whole.

What a great way to represent Juneau this past weekend! Congrats to the JD Girls swim team as well as the TM Girls. Nothing better than keeping the 1st and 2nd place trophies here in our amazing community. Great job to all of the student athletes and coaches!
Special thanks to Brooke Schwarting who took the lead on this meet and making it run as smooth as it possibly could.
