As a mom to 3+ children with two part time jobs, I am no stranger to the financial struggle that comes with our economy at the moment.
As we prepare to welcome our newest little one this August, I’m leaning into community, creativity, and making this season work in a way that feels good for everyone.
If my photography isn’t in your budget, I might just be willing to negotiate a trade in services (because we aren’t above bartering here):
• house cleaning
• organizing
• massage (especially prenatal)
• haircuts (for me and my girls)
• landscaping/yardwork
• meal prepping (especially for August–October; )
• baby supplies (I love thrifting)
• anything your heart desires if our family has a need for it
Our family has been so blessed by friends and clients. I've traded senior and family sessions for cleaning services (especially while I am pregnant and trying to avoid chemical exposure). I've traded a milestone/cakesmash session with one of my sweet newborn client families for all the breastfeeding supplies I could need. I've even traded sessions with other photographers that I absolutely adore for maternity, newborn, and birth photography! There's no shame in my game.
So if you’ve been wanting to book a session but needed a different option, this might be your sign to reach out. Let’s create something beautiful together! It seriously never hurts to ask!

Oh hey, I’m here!
So many have reached out to check on me and I am happy to report that I am still here, still photographing, and surviving my 5th pregnancy with our sweet baby boy! We are officially 22 weeks with baby #4 and could not be more excited for his arrival in August!
In the midst of growing a baby, I also started a new job back in November. This job was a complete God thing that fell into my lap and it was simply too good to pass up. I have an amazing boss who understands my chaotic life being pregnant, having 3 kids, and caring for our autistic son. And being back in nursing has filled my heart so much. So what am I doing that is so amazing? I’m a paramedical examiner for life insurance policies. It’s incredibly flexible with my family schedule, son’s therapy schedule, and my photography sessions. It’s been fun getting to socialize with clients, get out of the house, and poke people (I loooove phlebotomy)!
Aside from being incredibly sick with a respiratory virus for nearly a month, life has been good. And I’m incredibly grateful the photo bookings have kept coming despite my absence on social media. We have a lot of finances to cover with a baby on the way. Please keep them coming as I do plan to work up until my due date!
So that’s the tea… I’m just giving myself grace, pouring into my family, working two jobs, and growing a baby. Easy peezy!
And here’s a peek at our sweet nameless boy at our anatomy scan last weekend.

I'm just going to leave this right here...
Pregnancy after a child with an autism diagnosis is layered. There is excitement, but also fear, grief, and unanswered questions that don’t simply disappear. This season is teaching me how to hold joy carefully and honestly, without pretending it’s simple. To walk with courage and not to fear the unknown. To know God has a plan that I may not understand yet.
I share this with you because it continues to shape how I show up for the families I serve with empathy, patience, and deep respect for every story.
Motherhood is an incredibly hard and rewarding journey. And I am so thankful for my journey and to be able to share it with you!
