This project is from a few years back. We thought we would share it now. We were tasked with matching some 100 year old unglazed hexagon mosaic tile at what used to be Nathan's in Georgetown, Washington DC. We had the pleasure to provide the tile for the restoration of what is now the Capital One Cafe. The goal was to preserve as much as possible this beautiful floor. The challenge was years of damage and patchwork repair. We got color matches as close as possible to the original materials after to replace areas that had been removed or were too damaged.
We played a small part as the true heroes are the architect and installer to save this precious tile.

A modern Roman villa moment.
Carved in marble and designed as a contemporary interpretation of the ancient fountain, this piece brings the calm ritual of water back into architecture. Clean lines meet classical materiality, creating a focal point that feels both timeless and unmistakably modern.
Fountains have anchored Roman villas for centuries, cooling the air, softening sound, and grounding spaces in a sense of permanence. Reimagined today, the marble fountain becomes sculptural. An object of stillness, balance, and intention.
Where history flows into modern design.

Cement tiles, custom designed
Our client walked in with a memory:
a small Parisian bistrot floor, worn smooth by decades of coffee cups and conversations.
We translated that feeling into stone.
This custom floor was designed and hand-crafted to echo the classic Paris café tile pattern, then re-imagined for a modern coffee shop. The contrast, the rhythm, the geometry. It’s all about atmosphere. The kind that makes you linger just a little longer.
From inspiration to installation, this is what we love most:
turning a reference into something entirely yours.
Custom stone floors, made one piece at a time.
