An incredibly windy night on Going to the Sun road, allowed me only to take a few images of the Milky Way. Tracked/Blended, 2 min exposure with the star tracker to capture the light of the Milky Way at ISO 1600 to reduce noise and another untracked for the mountains. Experimenting with raw processing for the stars and starless fields separately to reduce the noise and bring out more detail.

One of the captures from the first trip into the Yosemite Wilderness high above the Valley at Snow Creek. I have captured the Milky Way over Half Dome from multiple locations in the past (Omstead Point, Indian Ridge, North Dome, Mt Watkins, Glacier Point); but was never able to secure a permit for the top-down route, until 2024.

Have been searching for sunflower fields in Texas for years and found nothing. This year I booked a Yosemite Wilderness trip and had a few days extra to stay in the Sacramento Valley. After seeming like 100 miles driving around yesterday, I found the perfect field. Here's one from last night and one from today (cropped 3x1, 4x1, 5x1 ratios). 5x1 pano - multi image focus stack to be able to be printed as large as 24"x120" (2 ft x 10ft - Canvas of course above 8 ft wide).
