My flight arrived 45 mins late into Denver, and the app said I had 7 minutes to make a 20 min transfer across concourses. The guy behind me was also flying into Montrose for in Telluride. “We’ll never make it,” he said.
“Miracles happen every day,” I said strapping on my bag, “Why not now? Why not us?” We SPRINTED with everything we had, lungs on fire in the mile-high city. Down stairs, onto the train, up the escalator, to gate B49 with ONE MINUTE TO SPARE ✨ I sat down in my seat, panting and wheezing, and this was waiting for me: my audiobook available for streaming on the airplane! 🤯 My luggage even made it, too! 🎉 I’m here to remind you—Don’t quit five minutes before the miracle. Sometimes, you get three miracles simultaneously. ✨✨✨

I had the experience of sharing one of my favorite spots on the planet with my family over spring break. Thank you to and everyone at for always welcoming me with open arms. ❤️ I first came to this place in 1995 and it’s been a Iove affair ever since. 🦋✨🫶

Immediately after the Reading the West Book Awards 2026 Longlists were announced last week, I received a text from and email from simultaneously congratulating me as I was wrapping up a women’s retreat in Costa Rica. 🦋 What a thrill to see in such honorable company. 📚Congratulations to fellow nominees, including and ⭐️ With those unfamiliar, Reading the West was conceived to “celebrate the diversity, courage, tenacity, expertise, and indie spirit of the bookstores in the Mountains & Plains Independent Booksellers Association. Our goal is to bring bookstores, books, and readers together, to promote the best of our regional authors and stories, and to feature the passionate recommendations of our booksellers.” ✨✨ independentbookstore

What a difference a year makes. 🔥🌧️ Last year, we were navigating and living in full survival mode. Fires were popping up like whack-a-mole and we saw half our town burn (again). This year, my hiking boots are soggy from the 9 inches of rain that blanketed the Santa Monica Mountains over the last 2 weeks. Sending out BIG love and strength to all who are STILL struggling to rebuild or were forced to move. Malibu has a reputation for being gilded and glam, but life in the chaparral of these fickle mountains is not an easy one. It fosters deep surrender, resilience and interdependence. To me, there’s nothing more beautiful than the gift of our community and the hard-earned beauty of the life we share. 🙏🏽
