Mid Century Modern Buffalo

One of our favorite buildings on the University at Buffalo South (Main Street) campus - Diefendorf Hall, Duane Lyman & Associates architect, 1963.

A very Midcentury Modern Thanksgiving everyone!!

Despite the gray and rain it is always a delight to see Yamasaki’s downtown Buffalo masterpiece.

Buffalo is filled with Midcentury Modern industrial architecture. This is 631 Northland Avenue, the former Metal Fabricating Plant of the historic Niagara Machine & Tool Works Factory. International Style 1953 building soon to be rehabilitated by Buffalo Urban Development Corporation. Adjacent to the Northland Workforce Training Center.

Update: this is one of 3 contributing buildings of the Niagara Machine & Tool Works Factory historic district, listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2018.
