It's a great day for cat fishing š¤£šø Spay Day this weekend at FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic
Itās hard to believe weāre officially one year into our adventure as Happy CAT ā what an incredible journey it has been!
We are so proud of our little, yet wonderfully effective team. Over the past year weāve met so many amazing caretakers and kindāhearted people who share our passion for helping cats in need.
We truly couldnāt do any of this without the generosity of our donors and the dedication of our volunteers. Your support is the heartbeat of Happy CAT, and we are endlessly grateful.
Like any nonāprofit organization, we face our fair share of challenges ā funding being the biggest one ā but we continue to push forward with determination and hope.
As we step into our second year, weāll be taking a short hiatus to better position ourselves for longāterm success. Weāll be sharing a post soon with more details about this upcoming pause.
Weāre excited to continue our mission of TNR and to help as many cats as possible in the months and years ahead.
From all of us at Happy CAT, a huge and heartfelt THANK YOU for being part of this journey. šøā¤ļøš

Scott and Debra are such a great couple that Jason and Chris have worked with for years. Their newest community cat "Tigger" is a big fluffy hunk of a cat. After being snipped and tipped at Indy Humane he came back to Jason and Chris's to recover, he was quite out of it. We released him today and he was so happy to be back...šø

This monthās Spay Day certainly put us to the test. Chris and Jason headed out to a caretakerās property weād worked on last year. She believed there were still five or six cats left to be TNRād, so we set all the traps, watched, and waited. In the end, we only spotted one cat who wasnāt earātipped. Itās a tough area, full of hiding spots, and it quickly became clear things werenāt going to unfold the way weād hoped.
FACE allocates five slots for us to fill, so we moved to Plan B and C ā delivering traps to two different caretakers who had cats ready to be trapped. With a lot of coordination and teamwork, a total of three cats made it to FACE. Itās the first time we havenāt filled all five slots, and yes, that felt a little disappointing. But three cats safely TNRād is still three lives changed for the better, and thatās a win in the long run.
A BIG "THANK YOU" to the caretakers: Jacque, Amy, Kira, Carolyn, Patty, Melinda, Chris, Jason ā and to the transporters who helped pull everything together.
As always...special thanks to FACE Low-Cost Animal Clinic for all that they do. šŗ
