Meet our Chapter President in Warsaw, Indiana - Matt Goebel!

Matt graduated with undergraduate degrees in physics and religion and began working at a church of nearly 3,500 attendees. Over the years he held a variety of roles within the church as a Children’s Pastor, Teaching Pastor and more while he worked to complete his Master’s in Theology.

Matt met his wife Ann at that church, and they had a set of twins (boy & girl). Matt then moved to the local YMCA, taking the position as their first chaplain. There Matt and Ann had another child. He began to pursue coaching as a profession, becoming a Gallup Certified Coach.

Based on his years of experience as a pastor and a chaplain, Matt built Veritas Professional Development to help business leaders guide and create cultures that foster excellence in soft skills development and management.

Matt brings a deep understanding of both ministry and leadership to the business world. He is passionate about supporting business leaders as they navigate the unique challenges of leadership, culture, and people development. Through marketplace ministry, Matt creates space for leaders to grow in wisdom, connect with others, and apply their faith in practical, impactful ways.

Meet our Atlanta chapter president, John Purcell!

John brings 17 years of church leadership and 18 years in corporate management, with a passion for developing leaders. At Westinghouse Electric, he spent 18 years—13 in management—overseeing four businesses. As Staff Director at Perimeter Church, he helped grow the congregation from 500 to 4,000 members and managed $44 million in expansion projects.

A Certified Christian Leadership Coach and ruling elder for over 20 years, John has discipled and coached leaders worldwide, helping churches strengthen leadership and discipleship. John and his wife, Cindy, enjoy traveling, the outdoors, and golf.
