Ever wondered how to track those weekend drinks without derailing your diet? šŸ·šŸø

Alcohol isn’t a traditional macro, but it’s often called the ā€˜4th macro’ because it provides calories—7 per gram! Whether you’re enjoying wine, beer, or spirits, here’s a simple way to include it in your fitness plan:

šŸ”¹ As Carbs: Divide the total calories by 4 to calculate grams of carbs.
šŸ”¹ As Fats: Divide the total calories by 9 for grams of fat.
šŸ”¹ As Both: For a balanced approach, log half the calories as carbs and the other half as fats.

For example, a glass of your favorite wine might be about 120 calories. Logged as carbs, that’s 30g (120/4), as fats, about 13g (120/9), or split it for both, counting 15g carbs and about 7g fat. šŸ“Š

Remember, balance is key! As a midlife working momma we need balance and fun! Enjoy responsibly while keeping your health goals on track. Just know your progress is quicker without it!
