Apparently, my wife decided to pick a few tomatoes out of the garden while I was riding a bike last night. I'm not sure what Karen is planning to do with the six kajillion tomatoes that are now sitting on our back porch... but I'm sure it will be massive in scope.

Well... let's keep our fingers crossed that this youngster doesn't grow up to be a troublemaker like most of its aunts 'n uncles are...

My wife did not like the "ugly old" rocks I was using on my gourds so I went to Walmart and bought some shiny new ones 🙂

I'm experimenting with my gourd planters. I'm putting a couple of coats of acrylic based paint on the interiors. Hypothetically, that puts a thin layer of plastic between the dirt and the gourd. So far, so good, but who knows how well this will work on the long haul. If anyone has other ideas for protecting a gourd interior from a moist dirt environment I'd love to hear them.
