Only 5 summers left with my first born & only son so yes, I’m doing everything possible to steal back moments with him! Yes it takes time that I don’t always feel like I have but he’s learning true hair care through our time together on wash days. Learning that holding on to things that no longer serve him can be damaging. (Hello regular trims!) Impressing teenagers can feel like a huge challenge but connecting with him consistently is the real win 🏆 I love asking him about his friendships, his connections with his teachers, what feels hard at the moment and what comes easily to him. I know he knows how deeply he is loved and cared for and that’s what matters so much to me.

If it feels like you have done 1 million things and worked a full-time job before you even start your work for the day, it’s because you have! It takes so much time and fine-tuning to get a morning routine down that works for you but once you do, it feels like magic. To all my parents who get the kids ready and off to school by yourself every day because your partner is already working so early, I see you. It can feel like a thankless job. There’s no other options and someone has to do it. You’re doing great sweetie!!
