Remember, whether to take a salary or an owner's draw depends on your unique business and financial circumstances. đź’Ľ
Keep in mind that the legal structure of your business can impact your ability to take an owner's draw. For instance, if you're part of a single-member or multi-member LLC, the draw method is the way to go. LLC owners can't opt for a regular salary.
If you're running an S corp, you won't find owner’s draws, only shareholder distributions. But, remember, a shareholder distribution doesn't replace the owner’s draw. Instead, you'll need to take a salary as a W-2 employee.
