I will be making some new products available at this site in the near future. Over the past year, I have de-emphasized business and turned towards nature and travel. Visit Texas Images and Traveling Texan for those images.

Texas Images has over 4200 subscribers now. I am constantly going out on new explorations of Texas and doing more photoshoots. Just finished one around Fredericksburg.

After less than 5 months of existence, the Facebook site "Texas Images" has built a following of over 600 subscribers. We are viewed in 16 nations around the world, and all over the state of Texas as well as in a number of states. Our viewers of all ages are quite diverse. We are proud of that. If I can do anything to make our site better, I am glad to do it. We do this as a service to the public who enjoy the beauty of Texas. It is also a family educational site. We monitor all comments and ensure the material is appropriate for children as well as adults. Texas is an awesome state, and we want to keep it that way. Thanks to photographers, nature lovers and friends for helping to make this site a success. We constantly grow, sharing images of our state, as photographed and as presented in simple graphics. If you want to be part of the group, go ahead to Facebook and type in "Texas Images", then " like" the site. You will receive 10-15 images spread out during the day about our great state. You can pass this opportunity along to friends and family by sharing a photo and/or sharing this message. Photos of Woodlands Photography are routinely shared there.
Thanks, Randy Scott, owner and administrator of Texas Images

The real beauty in this piece of art is in the details. Looks at the reflections.

Every year, the amazing neo-tropical bird migration occurs. We are in the flight path between the nesting grounds and the tropics for these birds. The Gulf Coast is fortunate to be the first place these birds find rest after flying over the Gulf of Mexico. This photo was taken yesterday at a bird sanctuary near Freeport, Texas where I dedicated the day to a bird photo shoot to observe and appreciate what I could. This time, it was the Painted Bunting, a favorite of my late mother who viewed them annually passing through Corpus Christi.

When the late evening sunlight streaks through to illuminate highly reflective flowers, the special effect will catch your eyes. When I saw this, I acted quickly to get the camera out and see what it would do on "film".

Dallas Arboretum where artwork is often presented. This particular boat of blown glass was just installed. The artist does his own glass blowing and had a small crew there to install all sorts of presentations and colored glass art. I recommend anyone passing through Dallas to stop and see this place of gardens and art.

Last week, I stopped in Ennis Texas, about 45 mi south of Dallas, to see if the Bluebonnets were still in bloom. I got my answer fairly quickly on their Bluebonnet Trail. Ennis is considered the Bluebonnet capital of Texas. This is only a sample of what I saw. It was still spectacular!

A lonely Monarch caterpillar stand atop the plant he has consumed, eating every morsel he can chew of the remaining stalk, as he prepares to transition into a Chrysalis.

Anyone know the name of this wildflower? It was found in Milton Reimers Ranch Park near Austin.
