Instead of a price reduction, most builders (and as of late sellers) are offering credits at closing that buyers can use for things such as: ✅ Covering closing costs ✅ Buying down their interest rate ✅ Making updates or repairs after move-in In the case of using a seller credit applied as a buy down, buyers save more each month and sellers keep their sales prices reasonable (see our infographic). This strategy can be a smart way to bridge the gap and make deals happen when budgets are tight and rates are high. It’s a win-win strategy in today’s market 🫱🏽‍🫲🏾.
