Today is the day I decided to start a new goal which is posting consistently on my feed. Now you may ask. Why is this relevant information Moji?
Let me tell you why...
During my April planning, I decided that it was time to start this goal. And of course, I had to pick a start date. The first thing that came to my mind was May 1st.
This may not seem like a problem, but it is. See I was falling into that trap of wanting to start a new goal at the beginning of something. Or aligning a start date with a new month or a new year.
And here's the rub. I only needed two weeks to prepare for this goal and May 1st was four weeks away. Now this is something that happens to a lot of people, especially when they're setting their goals. We try and align it with the perfect time, which doesn't exist.
So instead of going with May 1st, the beginning of a new month, which also happened to be a Monday. Double whammy! I picked today, April 16th. Woohoo!
I won't lie, it really rubbed me the wrong way and I really didn't want to do it, but the thought of waiting an extra two weeks to actually start this goal hurt me a lot more.
And so today, I am encouraging you to do away with the perfect timing and just start.

Do you hate planning? If you do then you aren’t doing it properly, at least not in my world.
I have always been someone who loves to create a plan, for anything and I mean anything. But one day I realized that my plans were making me anxious, which would then make me breakdown and not want to do anything.
But I didn’t know how to live life without planning, it’s the first thing I think about in the morning and the last thing I think about at night. I don’t know how many times I’ve asked myself “What is the plan?”.
I knew I had to figure out a way to make my plans work for me and not against me. The first step was why do I get anxious when I create a plan? Answer - Because everything seemed so daunting and unachievable when I wrote it down.
Okay step two. How do I get rid of this feeling and how in the world do I make such big dreams come true? And that’s when I figured it out, I realized I was only writing down my goals and then stopping.
I had to take it a step further, think more day to day instead of looking at the big picture. So I designed a system that would help me break down my goals into achievable tasks that I could accomplish each day.
And that is how I created my Goal Setting Workbook. It focuses on establishing S.M.A.R.T goals, defining a realistic timeline, and creating a path to ex*****on.
If I do say so myself, this has been a game changer for me and I am offering you guys this workbook for free (for a limited time). I truly believe that we can all schedule our success and this is the first step.
So clink the link in bio to download the workbook and happy goal setting!

Here’s your Monday reminder that you can accomplish anything, like starting that business or bagging that client or going for that promotion. The trick is to focus on making progress and not being perfect.
As a recovering perfectionist, this is something I have to tell myself everyday! And instead of focusing on the tiny details that won't let me move forward, I focus on the big picture.
My big picture is sharing my content with the world, so now it doesn’t matter if the graphic I want is not exactly how I wanted it or if my launch date is in the middle of the month instead of the beginning. If it’s at 90%, we move!
So I want you all to think about and focus on achieving YOUR big picture! You’ve got this! Tag someone below who needs to hear this pick-me-up today!
