Guard The Flock

Welcome to Guard The Flock! My name is Troy Perry. I’m excited to share with you my newly found safety and security training company specifically designed for churches.

After 16 years in law enforcement (including being a licensed Police Instructor), as well as, an extensive background in training design and facilitation in both the classroom and field settings, I’ve decided to capitalize on my experience by equipping churches with safety and security training to protect the welfare of their congregations.

With the understanding that most church volunteers are laymen and most likely have little to no first-aid, security, or tactical training, I have developed a twelve-hour Safety Team Basic Training course that covers the basics in four key safety risk areas:

• Emergency Medical
• Security
• Fire
• Natural Disaster

Understand that learning is not an event, it is an ongoing experience. I’ve structured Guard the Flock in a way so that it partners with our clients over the long term to practice skills by conducting scenario-driven training which helps ensure that what is learned in the classroom is retained in action.

Whether your congregation currently has a safety or security team in place or not, I would love the opportunity to speak with pastors, deacons, or whoever in the congregation is interested in starting a team, or improving the one already in place.
