Congratulations to the Oilbelt Little League in Corpus Christi, Texas, which has earned the Junior League Southwest regional championship and will play in the Junior League Baseball World Series in Taylor, Michigan. In the regional title game, the Texas West champions defeated the Texas East champs from Columbus in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This will be the third visit by Oilbelt teams to World Series Field at Taylor's Heritage Park. the others coming in 2012 and 2014. World Series games are scheduled for August 14-21 with opening ceremonies on Saturday, August 13. (Thanks to Oilbelt's Facebook team for the photo.)
