SIN DUDA ALGUNA, “SIEMPRE HAY UN CABALLO PARA OTRO”. FELICIDADES A TODAS LAS CONEXIONES DE ESTE CAMPEÓN !

Making his first official start in four months, Barboza Racing Corp.'s Instygator won Sunday's 440-yard, $350,000 Championship at Sunland Park (G1).

Instygator defeated odds-on favorite Empressum by a neck while making his quarter-mile trip on a track officially labeled "good" in :21.313. Juan Pulido rode the 4-year-old Ivory James gelding for trainer Santos Carrizales Jr.

Instygator was bred in Texas by Bobby D. Cox, and he was making his first start since September 5, when he scored a 1 1/4-length victory as the fastest qualifier in the 440-yard, $929,000 All American Derby (G1) at Ruidoso Downs. The gelding is out of Eye Popping, a homebred winning and multiple stakes winning daughter of the Dash For Cash stallion Mr Eye Opener.

A $25,000 purchase at the 2019 Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale, Instygator has won eight of 12 starts -- including four of five at the classic 440-yard trip -- and the $182,000 winner's share of the purse from his second career stakes victory pushed his earnings to $1,450,239.

Apollitical Papa ran third, two lengths behind Instygator, and was followed by KJ Frankie B, A Dangerous Flash, and Don Chuy C.
