The foundation of our country was built on the sacrifice of brave men and women who gave everything so future generations could grow up in the land of the free. I pray we remember the price they paid every day, but especially this weekend as we honor their lives, their service, and their courage.

President Trump is right. Birthright citizenship has been abused for far too long. That’s why I introduced the Birthright Citizenship Act. Let’s pass it and put an end to this madness.

President Trump didn’t hold back in blasting birthright citizenship as a “disgrace” ahead of an upcoming Supreme Court decision that could have major impacts across the country.

“It’s all up to a couple of people, and I hope they do what’s right.”

Trump has repeatedly argued that the Constitution’s guarantee of birthright citizenship was never intended to apply to children born in the U.S. to undocumented immigrants, and he has pushed to end the practice through executive action and the courts as part of his broader immigration agenda.
