I wanted to let y’all know that today is PTSD Awareness Day. In my mind, instead of it being recognition of a 3 or 4 letter diagnosis, it should be a day we should all make an effort to reach out to our Brothers & Sisters we served with, SAW (Save A Warrior) Alumni or not. Just pick up the phone andCALL, not text, the first few individuals, that come to your mind.

Don’t call with the intentions of doing anything other than to say “What’s up?” or to leave a voicemail saying, “I was thinking about you and I love you.”

We have all been there, riding the fence...YOUR phone call maybe the thing that keeps your Brother or Sister from becoming a stat.

If you get a chance google this song, the lead singer of Disturbed “hit the nail on its head” writing this song. It was written specifically about PTS / PTSD. Everyone translates all forms of art in their own fashion, the main reason why I choose to tell my story through my artwork and tattoos.

When listening to this song this morning on,The Rod Ryan Show, on the radio, here in Houston. I was brought to tears because I felt it was as if my son, Landen, was singing this song to me; from his eyes.
