🤝 Sept 21 — Community Care Sunday — Bring food, toiletries, baby items, socks, and school supplies to bless our neighbors.

🏈 Sept 28 — Faith & Football Sunday — Wear your favorite team jersey & stay for our Block Party with food, fun, and fellowship!

As we gather on this final Sunday of 2024, my heart is truly overflowing with gratitude. It has been a remarkable blessing to witness Minister Stephanie Taylor-Thomas, a cherished member of our clergy team, share a much-needed message with our family. Her words were unconventional, radical, and transformative, touching our spirits in profound and meaningful ways. In this sacred moment, the Lord welcomed eight new members into our congregation, a beautiful reminder of His endless grace!

We were also privileged to connect with the Mt. Paran M B C family. I find myself reflecting on my early days alongside one of my heroes, the late Rev. Dr. W.W. Jackson Jr., who I think about daily. As a “boy preacher,” I remember standing on a milk crate just to see over the podium, a testament to how far we’ve come together in faith. Those memories are precious to me, and I hold them dear. Our prayers are with them as they seek their new Shepherd, and I trust that brighter days await them.

All in all, it was a beautiful day filled with hope and connection. I encourage you all to cherish the remainder of this day and embrace a smooth transition into 2025!!!
