EXPLORER TO EMPLOYEE!

After being an Explorer for most of her high school career, Francesca Cabanas became an EMT and joined the Acadian family in the Houston area.

What she loves most about being an EMT is all of the experience she’s gaining in the medical field. Through Explorers, Francesca was able to ride along on ambulances and learn just how vast her opportunities with Acadian were.

Francesca plans for go back to school to become a neonatal nurse, and her work as an EMT gives her the opportunity to practice her skills and she loves that no two days are ever the same.

Her advisors, Chris Nix and Isolde Cabanas (also her big sister!) helped her through EMT school and through the Acadian application process after passing.

Our Explorers program is a huge help for any high school student planning to start a career in medicine. We would love to help you become a part of our program!
