QUICK TIP: Before having your cabinets painted - ask your painter - what is the prep for the space?

- How will the cabinets be painted, and in how much time? If they say - two days.. no way! Pass!!

- If they say we wipe the cabinets down but don't tell you about prep before that - light sanding, and degreaser being applied? Pass!

-Painting in just a short time? You will also have longetivty for a short time... PASS!!

Cabinet paint cracks and peels due to poor surface preparation, environmental factors like humidity and temperature changes, using the wrong type of paint or primer, and applying the paint incorrectly (too thickly or without proper drying time). Incompatible paint layers, like latex over oil-based without preparation, can also cause peeling.
