Today Dane slipped on a Miles Morales mask and loudly ROARRRRED at his brothers and took off chasing them, because in Dane’s world he’s always the “dad die” (bad guy).

And I turned to Ed and said, “One day very far away, but also really soon, we’re going to be at our quiet dinner table having an uninterrupted meal and nobody will spontaneously morph into a villain that roars, and there won’t be any tiny fat hands squishing food into their mouths, and nobody will perform a full dance routine at random…”

And he chimed in, “and nobody will make up and draw new Pokemon characters”.

And then we both choked up and commiserated about how these are the best days and they’re passing by too fast 😩. O wouldn’t change a single sleepless night or moment of overwhelm (and there are a lot 🥹). Sometimes I can’t believe all these babies are ours?!

We can’t be the only people who do this like 3x a week, right?
