Happy Father's Day to All the Dads making a Difference in their kids' lives, but particularly, my husband!

I had no idea growing up about what type of parent I wanted to be, lessons I wanted to teach or impact I wanted to make on my kids so I was truly blessed when God paired me with Stephen Lewis because he's given sincere thought to ALL of these things!

I'm grateful for not only his leadership in our household but the seeds he's planting in future generations of our family. He doesn't lower his expectations of our children just because other kids enjoy more liberties and not only are his methods building them up but they, themselves are speaking up about how even at a young age they appreciate the structure he provides them.

My eldest said to me one ay recently, "I wish everyone had a dad like my dad".

Happy Father's Day babe, we're so fortunate to have you!

It's World Environment Day and I have to ask...are you doing your part? If not, I challenge you to make your footprint just a little smaller today for yourself and future generations.

Some of the ways we reduce our footprint in my household:
1. Our recycling bin is always more full than the actual trash bin. If it has that recycle sign on it, we rinse it if needed and send it to be reused
2. We don't shop often. Part of the reason is my husband and I are allergic to malls but also the fewer new items you bring in, the less often you'll need to cycle your clothing out
3. We are constantly donating. If we haven't ued it in 12 months it gets sent to a new home that can use it.
