Did you know Stimming serves a key purpose = regulation?! It does! And did you know that if kids are dysregulated, they will have a significantly harder time accessing and learning new language skills, learning in school, and interacting with others? It’s true! So free the stim- let them stim- accept the stim!
Being able to stim freely and openly is a GAME CHANGER for neurodivergent kids. And to support this, it’s a good idea to talk about it openly and explain why kids do it and that’s it’s ok! Stay tuned for my REEL tomorrow that shows some happy stims in action! ❤️
