Before the burgers hit the grill and the kids run outside, it’s worth doing a quick backyard check 👀✅

Summer dinners and family gatherings are some of the best parts of living in Texas. But crumbs, standing water, and little things you may not notice can make your setup more inviting to pests than to your guests.

Take a quick walk around the yard before everyone arrives.

🍔 The grill area is usually the first place to look. Grease, food residue, and crumbs can draw ants and roaches right to where everyone’s eating.

🗑️ Trash bins are another big one. A loose lid or leaking bag turns a bin into a pest magnet pretty fast in this heat.

🌿 Patio furniture can hide more than you think. Spider webs, moisture, and crumbs collect under chairs, cushions, planters, and outdoor rugs.

🌱 Lawn edges and fence corners are easy to miss, but worth a glance. Fire ant mounds, wasp activity, and shaded hiding spots show up there fast.

🧸 If kids will be playing outside, give toys, sandboxes, playhouses, and shaded corners a quick look before they run out barefoot.

💧 Standing water is one of those small things that becomes a bigger issue fast. Empty buckets, plant saucers, toys, and bird baths after the last rain.

🏡 And don’t forget the areas closest to the house - doors, windows, vents, foundation edges, and small gaps where pests can slip in.

A few minutes before your BBQ can help you catch small issues before they interrupt the evening.

Do you know how the In2Care mosquito trap actually works? 🦟

Most mosquito treatments focus on the adults already flying around. This system goes after the part most treatments miss 💡

We place the trap in your yard, and mosquitoes are naturally drawn to it. When they land, they pick up a biological agent and carry it back to where they lay eggs.

They basically carry it back themselves, and that’s what makes it work.

It helps stop eggs from developing within a 400-square-meter radius. So instead of just reducing what’s flying around today, you’re working to reduce the population over time.

Seeing small swarms of winged insects around your windows or lights this April? That’s termites, and it’s worth addressing sooner rather than later 🪵

Houston and Austin are both really active right now. Warm weather, spring rain, humidity, this is exactly what they’ve been waiting for.

Most people don’t realize how termite damage actually happens until it’s already been going on for a while.

They live underground and make their way into your home through tiny mud tubes along the foundation. Once they’re in the wood, they eat from the inside out. The surface can still look completely fine the entire time, which is why it often goes unnoticed.

What they get into over time:
🪵 Floor joists and support beams
🚪 Door and window frames, doors start sticking, frames shift slightly
🧱 Wood near moisture or plumbing
📦 Cardboard and stored wood in crawl spaces

And that swarm you’re seeing right now? It didn’t start this spring.

Swarmers come from mature colonies that have usually been active for years. So if you’re seeing them around your home, the issue isn’t new, just finally visible.

Getting someone out to take a look sooner can make a real difference.
