Did you know? MCHD serves Montgomery County with 28 strategically located stations. These stations are placed based on data-driven deployment models to optimize EMS coverage. Each station features living quarters, offices, kitchens, and bedrooms, with supplies delivered as needed. Remember, emergencies go to 911 - not our stations!

The Montgomery County Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management is excited to announce the Montgomery County Disaster Preparedness Expo!

Join us on Saturday, May 9, 2026 from 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM at the Lone Star Convention & Expo Center for a fun and informative event focused on helping our community prepare for disasters and emergencies.

This free, family-friendly event will feature:
🚨 Emergency response vehicles and equipment displays
🌪️ Disaster preparedness information and resources
👨‍🚒 Meet-and-greet opportunities with local first responders
🎒 Tips on building emergency kits and family preparedness plans
🏥 Demonstrations from public safety and emergency management partners
🎁 Giveaways and activities for the whole family

Living in Southeast Texas means we must be ready for hurricanes, severe weather, wildfires, and other emergencies. The Disaster Preparedness Expo is a great opportunity for residents of Montgomery County to learn how to better protect their families, homes, and businesses before disaster strikes.
