I love that commercial by the Lincoln Project, our presidents used to speak like adults.

Hate speech and divisive rhetoric erode the foundations of our society. In recent years, public figures, comedians, and influencers who echo harmful sentiments have normalized hostility and encouraged a culture of disrespect. This environment, especially when broadcasted widely, has a deep impact on our younger generations, who learn not only from what we tell them but from what they observe. Children and teenagers see leaders and prominent personalities resorting to name-calling and insult-driven “humor,” and they begin to emulate these behaviors, believing it’s acceptable to belittle others.

If we are to build a society where respect, empathy, and understanding are cornerstones, we must begin by ending this cycle of hate. Public figures and influencers have a responsibility to model positive behavior, not just for their current audiences but for future generations. We should call for humor and commentary that uplifts and educates rather than tears down. Rather than fanning the flames of anger and animosity, we must emphasize compassion, constructive dialogue, and unity. Let’s set an example where our words and actions foster a culture of kindness—because the future depends on the values we instill in today’s youth. Ending hate now is essential to creating a brighter tomorrow.

Look, I am far from perfect but I do worry about what some adults are projecting to our young. Join me and together VOTE OUT HATE and end TRUMP on Nov 5th. . It has been exhausting listening to him. Let’s end IT TODAY.

Just Imagine
By Linda Morales

Just Imagine living in a world where we have no voice. Choices about borders, prices, and even our everyday lives are imposed upon us by unseen forces, leaving us without recourse or say.

Yes Just Imagine.

Such a reality strips away the very essence of what makes us human: the ability to choose, to voice our opinions, and to shape our own futures. In a democratic society, freedom is not just a word but a powerful guiding principle, one that this nation was founded upon and continues to safeguard.

Democracy is our mechanism for protecting individual liberties, promoting equality, and ensuring that every person has a seat at the table. It grants us the right to vote, to speak out, and to participate in shaping the systems that govern us.

This freedom is a privilege and a responsibility — without it, our voices would be silenced, and our ability to advocate for ourselves and our communities would disappear.

Just Imagine.

Preserving democracy means preserving our right to a fair, just, and inclusive society where our choices matter. When we defend democracy, we defend the power of individuals to create change, to challenge injustice, and to dream of a future where freedom isn’t just a privilege, but a guarantee.

I choose freedom. How about you?

I worked in Puerto Rico for over 8 months organizing the Dept of Education. La gente kind and beautiful. The food YUM. The island Bonita. I would arrive late at night and never once feared for my life asking for directions at 11 pm at night.
Puerto Ricans like Mexicans (Americans) care about their families, communities and this country. Don’t insult or disrespect us. If you do—-you will regret it.
