This is the story of Joe, Drake, and Porter 🐾

Joe first got involved with The Rescue through his wife, Alisha. Together, they showed up month after month for group training classes alongside their pups.

For years, Drake has been Joe’s steady right-hand partner, loyally by his side throughout it all. As Drake begins to approach retirement, a new chapter has unfolded with Porter stepping in to learn, support, and take on new responsibilities.

What makes this story so special is the bond between them. Drake has become a patient and dedicated mentor to Porter, guiding him and setting the example as they continue to work side by side. A true brotherhood has formed.

Joe shares: “I can’t say enough about The Rescue for PTSD for encouraging me to get outside of my comfort level and grow as a team with Drake. We now have a place to relate to others, care for others, and a sanctuary where I know I am not the only one out here who struggles. Since Drake and I have become a team, we go everywhere together, including places I wouldn’t have even considered in the past.”
