2025 Standard Deduction Update
💸 Tax season tip: The standard deduction just got a boost for 2025, and it could mean more money in your pocket!
✅ New amounts:
• Single filers: $14,600
• Married filing jointly: $29,200
• Head of household: $21,900
✅ Seniors & blind taxpayers get an additional deduction.
✅ Using the standard deduction means less paperwork, no itemizing required.
💡 Pro Tip: Even if you usually itemize, check if the higher standard deduction gives you a bigger tax benefit this year.

📣 *2025 Tax Update: No Tax on Tips (Sort of)*
🍽️🍹 **If you earn tips, the *One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA)* just changed your taxes.**
Under the new law, **you may be able to *deduct* up to *$25,000* of *qualified tip income* from your federal taxable income** on your 2025 return (filed in 2026). That means *no federal income tax* on those tips up to the limit — but there are some important details 👇🏽
✅ **This is a deduction, not a full exemption.**
You *still* report your tips, and Social Security/Medicare taxes still apply.
💸 **You can claim the deduction whether you itemize or take the standard deduction.**
📍 **Who qualifies?**
• Workers in occupations where tipping is customary like servers, bartenders, delivery drivers, stylists & more.
• Tips must be voluntary and reported on W-2, 1099, or Form 4137.
⬆️ **Income limits:** Phase-out starts at ~$150K AGI ($300K joint).
🌍 **Note:** State & local taxes still often apply.
This change runs *2025–2028*, so it’s temporary but could mean **more in your pocket** when you file next year.
📩 DM **“TIPS TAX”** if you want help figuring out if you qualify or how to claim it!
