For almost four days, the laser has been running 10 hours a day to get all the bits and pieces cut...I started sub-assemblies at about noon...time for dinner, then I’ll do the final assemblies tonight.

Texas Renaissance Festival opens Saturday the 29th of September. Come out, have fun, go see Iris and Rose and 2 Merry Men at the Polonia Pub. Buy a spinner game while you’re there...

When last you heard from me, I was a few hours from traveling to Wisconsin to work the final weekend of the Bristol Renaissance Festival, pack Faire Pair and get it moved back to Texas.
Since my return home, it has been crazy busy, what with prepping for Texas Renaissance Festival (which opens a week earlier than it used to...so, in about 20 minutes. (...or so it feels!))
There was a pile of wooden mugs to engrave. (120, to be exact. If you’re going to TRF, check them out at Wondrous Works in Wood)

Then there’s a bunch of these...which I’ll get more into in the next post...

Just when you thought PhiloLabs was all about the small stuff...

I was out of the Lab this past week, working on-site at the Texas Renaissance Festival doing some improvements to the Faire Pair booth.

New doors, some new paint on the inside...getting ready to open on Saturday, September 29.

I am occasionally asked, “Why do things cost so much?”

Sometimes it’s materials, sometimes it’s assembly time, sometimes it’s the part count.

Sometimes, it’s all three.
