Today, Andie is breaking down a Mega favorite: Skating 🔥
At Wicked Core, we typically cue this move on 1 red + 1 yellow spring — our standard spring load. Feeling strong? You can always level up with heavier springs… but remember: form first, always. 👏
Here’s what we’re looking for in this move:
▪️ Set up in a low squat hold at the front of the Mega
▪️ Chest angled slightly forward with hips hinged back
▪️ A long, neutral spine — think straight line from the back of your head through your tailbone
▪️ Knees stacked over heels with heels grounded into the platform & carriage
⬆️ This is where we build the burn in the isolation & stability. 🔥
The magic of this move? The hips stay in a fixed position while the secondary working leg presses the heavy carriage outward from the outer thigh then controls the resistance back in.
Slow, controlled resistance > rushing through reps every time.
