Aronofsky had me at Pi. From a photographers perspective I felt he always had a more curious "eye" than anything else I was seeing. To hear him talk about using the new camera for the sphere in Vegas reminds me of using cameras in the analog days.
To go through the process of using a new camera and having to visualize the result internally is an amazing feeling. It's what I miss about the film days. You had to be in the moment, visualize and do the math on everything in the moment, and then imagine what the picture was when everything went black. You didn't get to see that image until sometime after that moment had passed.
To have it all come together perfectly in a final image after all of that was finding the treasures in that day's excavations.
I would love to see what Aronofsky dug up with this beast. 18K 😯😳🫨🤯
