What a privilege it was to capture this senior beauty! I've known Emily since she was itty bitty and look at her now! I almost cried after her photo shoot because she was such an amazing subject and THIS is the stuff that memories are made of. What an honor to be a small part in celebrating her achievements!

I've taken lots of senior pictures and family photo shoots over the years but my favorites have to be my own three kiddos.

Senior moms and dads have lots of "lasts". The fall is filled with them and it just snowballs through the spring, but remember this...

As you prepare your heart to release them into the world, it is keeping your eyes on what is ahead and CELEBRATING rather than looking back to what is behind that will launch them successfully into the next stage of life. It is rewarding to embrace the new challenges and new rewards that await them as they become adults and prepare for independence.

Of course, it is hard to let them go and you will continue to guide, support and love them. Some want less guidance or support than others and that is hard too, but they can't stop you from loving and praying for them! Lean on God and other senior parents...you are not alone.
