NOPE. It's not dead. Email marketing is very much alive, whether we want it to be or not!
Embrace it as another touchpoint with your consumer base or as a main source of communication with your followers. Either way, it should be as consistent as your social media. Here are some ways to keep your e-marketing efforts fresh:
- First impressions are everything. Have a 'welcome' email with a friendly intro automated for new members.
- Segment your database. Divide your audience up into groups and make sure that they are going into the correct category in your marketing platform. For example, if you have an open house and collect email addresses (and texts) from attendees you can create a segmented folder in your database of JUST those attendees. Now you can send them emails that feel more direct and personalized.
- Think about where you open your email the MOST (when you're not working.) Likely on your phone. Make sure that when customers open up your e-blast, that it's perfectly formatted for their phone. It looks more professional.
